How Can I Bridge off Metal L2 (Withdraw)?

This support guide will provide information about bridging off Metal L2.

Getting Started

• Make sure your compatible wallet has Metal L2 network added. There are two ways to do this.
  • Add Custom Network manually
  • "Add Network" button on Metal L2 homepage 
  • Compatible wallets include Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, and Metamask.
• Have enough ETH to cover gas fees for the transfer from Metal L2 to Ethereum L1. Ethereum network fees can vary, so double-check the amount shown on the Metal L2 Bridge.
• At this time, Metal L2 supports the bridging of ETH, USDC and MTL.

Detailed Steps

1. Connect Wallet on the Metal L2 Bridge
   
2. Toggle the "Withdraw" button
3. Using the dropdown selector, select the crypto asset you would like to bridge from Metal L2 to Ethereum L1.
4. Enter the amount that you would like to bridge to Ethereum L1.
5. Confirm the details and sign the transaction with your connected wallet to begin the bridging process.
6. The bridging process from Metal L2 to Ethereum L1 takes 7 days. Why does it take 7 days?
7. Congratulations! You've successfully bridged assets from Metal L2 to Ethereum L1.
