This support guide will help you with information on bridging off Metal L2.
Getting Started
- First, ensure your compatible wallet has the Metal L2 network added. You can do this in two ways:
- Manually add a Custom Network
- Use the "Add Network" button on the Metal L2 homepage
- Some compatible wallets are Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, and Metamask.
- Make sure you have enough ETH to cover gas fees for the transfer from Metal L2 to Ethereum L1. Remember that Ethereum network fees can change, so be sure to double-check the amount shown on the Metal L2 Bridge.
- Currently, Metal L2 supports bridging of ETH, USDC, and MTL.
Detailed Steps
- Connect your wallet on the Metal L2 Bridge
- Switch on the "Withdraw" button
- From the dropdown menu, select the crypto asset you want to bridge from Metal L2 to Ethereum L1.
- Enter the amount you'd like to bridge to Ethereum L1.
- Review the details and sign the transaction with your connected wallet to start the bridging process.
- The bridging process from Metal L2 to Ethereum L1 takes about 7 days. Why does it take 7 days?
- Great job! You've successfully bridged assets from Metal L2 to Ethereum L1.
