Getting Started
- Make sure your compatible wallet has Metal L2 network added. There are two ways to do this.
- Add Custom Network manually
- "Add Network" button on Metal L2 homepage
- Compatible wallets include Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, and Metamask.
- Have enough ETH to cover gas fees for the transfer from Ethereum L1 to Metal L2. Ethereum network fees can vary, so double-check the amount shown on the Metal L2 Bridge.
- At this time, Metal L2 supports bridging of ETH, USDC and MTL.
Detailed Steps
- Connect Wallet on the Metal L2 Bridge
- Toggle the "Deposit" button
- Using the dropdown selector, select the crypto asset you would like to bridge from Ethereum L1 to Metal L2.
- Enter the amount that you would like to bridge to Metal L2.
- Confirm the details and sign the transaction with your connected wallet to begin the bridging process.
- The bridging process from Ethereum L1 to Metal L2 is dependent on Ethereum network traffic, which typically takes 5-10 minutes, but during periods of high traffic may take up to 1 hour.
- Congratulations! You've successfully bridged assets from Ethereum L1 to Metal L2.
