What is Metal L2?

Metal L2 is an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution built on the Optimism Superchain tech stack. While Ethereum transactions are slower and have higher fees, transactions on Optimism Superchain are nearly instant and have negligible fees associated with them. 

Metal L2 gives users scalability while leveraging the security of the Ethereum Layer 1 by offloading computation from Ethereum Layer 1 to a sequencer node on Layer 2, which then hashes data to the Ethereum Layer 1 for immutability and security.

Why Metal L2?
